Never underestimate the little one...

The hubby was telling me that now we cannot underestimate our girls' ability. The ability to understand what adults are talking, ability to carry out instructions, ability to remember what we said just once, etc etc...

There was one night bedtime, as usual lights off, a total darkness... I simply groped a blanket to cover Abella and this girl resisted, threw the blanket to clara! When I was puzzled by her act, she pulled out an blanket beneath clara and came back asking me to cover her. Then I realised actually that was her white blanket and perviously blue one belongs to clara! I was amazed by her ability to identify even in that kind of total darkness!

The girls love their daddy to lift them up from the arm and swing them like a pendulum. There was a time when the daddy paused and told them " Ok children, enough already, daddy needs a break...", suddenly wtpg reply " Daddy tire...". The daddy was so touched... I was amazed by their ability to understand " tire " as I only remember mention once to them, mummy is tire, want to rest.

I was amazed by the words they known not by me but most probably they have heard elsewhere.

I was amazed by their sense of ownership...

One day, me: Come children, want to take some photo?

The girls came running, each holding a train in hand (abe holding a green train and clara, blue), to their usual photo taking spot. Happily they lined their train in between them, getting ready for me. But they were standing so far apart... when I said stand closer, Abella moved to the right side of Clara. Clara mind was thinking otherwise, she picked up Abe's green train and putted beside Abella and putted her blue train beside her. So now they are standing in between the train, closer and beside their respective train!

I know these are the skills every child will acquire ultimately but I am just glad that I have witness all these :)

Kids can pick out info/items very easily. I think maybe it's because their minds are more focus without all the distractions like us adults. Your girls sure sound very clever for their age. Btw, they also look quite tall...
