Up bringing

I think parents are the most influential person in moulding the children. From their character, behaviour and habit, to like and dislike for food, things and people.

I am not a very girlish person, most probably due to my childhood companions are mostly boys (my two brothers), ball games, cycling, catching, catch "long kang" fish, ultraman and fighting were my childhood's life, though they do play masak with me also. Recently I have been hunting transportation toys for my girls and my friend commented: Hey, yours are girls, why are you looking at the cars and trains? You should be looking for dolls and Teddy bears, girl should play dolls and teddy bears.

? ? ? Me pondering at his question... Heck care, as long as they like it and I like it! Hahaha! Come to think about it, their fond for those masculine vehicles, could be my influencing and letting them have constant exposure. I am the one always pointing out the bicycle, motocycle, car, taxi, van, bus, lorry, truck, LRT, train on the road to them. I am the mother who bought car & aeroplane transformer for them and still hunting for more vehicular toys.

See my girls have cultivate the love for vehicles and they really enjoyed riding on the tricycle. They love to recite those vehicles on the road and always: mummy see bus, bus c-bic! (Initially I was stun, CB???! Then I realise actually they meant, bus is big.) mummy bus no more... taxi... car... TRUCK! mummy see truck!... no more... van... motorcycle... uncle driving...

However, I not worried they will turn out a tomboy but see, they love carrying bag too... like "tai tai"
Wahahaha....

I think I just like the way... girl should be soft but not too fragile, 柔内里带钢 should be more beneficial...

As for food, I am not a choosy person and especially appealing to healthy food like fruits and veggie, nourishing soup and non process food. I do like junk food but will try not to indulge :q. And I am lucky that my girls enjoy those food I am enjoying. I think the chances will be if the mother is not appealling to the food, most probably her child wont like too. I have a friend who will cringe at the smell of codfish oil, so when I ask did she give her daughter codfish oil, she answered: Codfish? I gave her once but she cringed and run away! I was thinking if my girls dont like codfish oil, I will try all means to persuade them accept (force till they like). Hahaha, I quite fond of the unique taste of codfish since young, where I dont get to eat regulary as I was the chubby one, mum worried I will get obese.

As for people, beside mama, gonggong and ah yi they are seeing regulary... I will always tell them their 姨婆 is in HK, 舅舅 is working... So every night conversation is...
me: Where is daddy?
wtpg: daddy where? daddy working.
me: mama where?
wtpg: mama? sleep...
me: gonggong where?
wtpg: sleep... ahyi, sleep... 姨婆, 香港... 舅舅 or or(means sleep also)... 爷爷, at home... 大伯, sleep... 伯母, sleep... 姑妈, sleep... 姑丈, sleep... ... ...

I think this is the only way I can keep them remember of those people, they dont get in contact everyday.
