Reset for Year 2009

Time flies... it's the school year end concert again.

Recalling last year the girls did their Chicky Dance, this year their performance had equally touched me, emotionally... :)

It's only a year passed but I see the vast different in their self-achievement.

For this year concert, they have been updating me bits & pieces regarding their rehersal.

The comments teacher had made, the difficulties they encountered, who they partner with, etc.

They had been reminding and checking on each other too, on how they should place their limbs and body correctly inorder to look nice and synchronize.

I can see they took pride in their concert performance. They set expectation for themself.

I can see my girls growing... taking responsibility. I am so proud of them...

Saying that, I reflected myself... I seem to be stagnant, staying put...

Their year end was an excellent wrapped. They will move on to another milestone next year...

Me? I have to admit no notable improvement...

Well, new year is coming, I' ll buck up again.

For you, my Girls.. Cheer for me, yah :)

I was emotionly impressed by my girls. Recalling back when the school inform me about my girls will be involved in the year end concert, I was sceptical. My 3yo short-attention-span girls can take instruction and perform??? Whatever... just give a shot.

From their practising till final full dress rehearsal, I have zero idea what they are going to perform, their costume... till the nearer day, by change I saw the two girls were doing some kinda dancing and I asked, what are u doing my dear?

wtpg: "I am dancing, mommy... see, I can dance..."
me: "Wow!! you can dance so gracefully... can you show mommy more? Is this the dance you are going to performing huh?"
wtpg: "Yes mommy... chicken dance... "


and keep showing off more like a proud swan... kekeke

When waiting patiently for their turn to perform, I was also worrying, will they cry when I show up... create a havoc on stage...

But when the curtain drew, my worries proven redundant. I was so impressed at how confidant nowaday 3yo kids can be when scouting for my two little chicks and I found my two proud chicks...



Albiet they still melt down during the grand finale (and are the only two... saw 2 chicks being carried by teacher)

But I know... my 2 girls must be tire... it was 8pm plus then.


You both are mommy's proud! Well done! My girls :)

Our First School Uniform

Yesterday was the girls' school photo taking session. It was the first time they wear their school uniform, after 7 months in school... Dont ask me why? The teacher didnt enforce so I dont bother either... haha

I find the uniform a bit funny but the girls' claim that they are so pretty, like princess -_-

Nevertheless, I took photo of them... they are so sweet, no matter what they are wearing :p

Update part 2...

See what I mean?! This morning is Clarabelle's turns having diarrhoea... but that little girl felt so blessful... "Mommy, Clarabelle can take the diarrheoa medicine huh? Clarabelle got diarrheoa... "

Anyway I still let her go to school, as she has no fever... hopefully after the last watery poo-poo at home, her stomache will be cleared.

"mommy, is pass motion..." " Oh.. you've learned the word, pass motion... who taught u that?" " 张老师 say poo-poo is pass motion..."

SS, I still have part 2. I have not finish yet :p They are not as good as you thought, that why I say " Generally, I would consider them adapting well..." but there are certain area where they are still struggling...

The teacher had relate to us that most of the time my two girls, esp Abella couldnt enjoy siesta. Everytime they will want the teacher to hold their hands or pat them to nap. Then when they have dose off and the teacher walk off, they are very sensitive, wake up immediately and refuse to let go the teacher. So Abella rather dont sleep. Most probably by then siesta time is over. No wonder they are always so tire & sleepy when we fetch them.

I was thinking most probably they feel very daunting to sleep with unfamiliar people. Thought they may have known some of them but afterall, for 33 months, they only sleep with daddy, mummy, ma ma & the most ah yi only.

So I thought maybe let them bring a toy from home, who they will feel secured then.

Girls, this afternoon you have elephant accompany. So dont worry and take a good nap huh? :) If you nap well, this evening not tire-sleepy-cranky, mommy will bring you to plaza, k ;) Promised :)

Beside the siesta case, every morning they will sure wake up crying, asking me today going to school? Then when I tell them yes, they will start whining... till the daddy come and warn them in a very stern voice, "Happy or not, you have to go to school! You want to choose happily go to school, afterwork daddy mummy will come n fetch you or you want to continue crying, making yourself tire, daddy mummy angry but still need to go to school...."

Sometimes, they are very sensible, stop whinning immediately, happily get themself ready for school... but when time they are not... *sigh*

Beside crying in the morning, in the middle of the night, they will wake up crying then climb onto our bed, one squeezing my left the other the right, sandwiched me in between. It was so squeezy! I went to sleep on their mattress instead but immediately they sense my absense, whine and next moment squeeze with me again. I have no choice but to suit them then as I donwan them to irritate the daddy then starts another rounds of lecturing... Im not objecting the daddy's disciplinary but I dont wish to be at that late hour...

I not sure Im doing this right but definately they are taking advantage of me. Even my mum say that. She say when I not home yet, they were very well behave, finish dinner, playing themself. But when I come back, they'll wreck havoc, want me carry, complained to me about each other, starts pushing each other... -_-

The daddy say that too... In fact for the passed morning, he has been droping me at the bus stop then send the children to school himself. In the evening, pick them up, mix milk for them & give them snack then fetch me... everything was smooth sailing till they reach my office... they two will start to snatch for me and create a chaotic in the car... -_-

Then there was a day, after so long I didnt pick them up from school, I decided to finish work early and pick them up. They were jumping with joy to see me in school. But the daddy say I came to wreck havoc. They use to carry their own bag, change their own shoe and walk on their own. But now, we have to change their shoe, carry their bag and carry them! He gave me a "sp" mother look... *eyes rolling*

Girls, what's today news huh? kekeke...

Tomorrow will be the girls one month old in the school. Generally I would say they are adapting well. Since last week, when I wave bye to them, they will still cranky and trying their luck if can pester me to accompany them in school. But very soon they realised the fact, just request a kiss from me :* and happily wave bye to me. Clarabelle even tell me to be careful... such a dear right?

Though they are adapting well in the school but children are also vulnerable to virus. Almost near to every weekend, they will sure bring back some germs too. Imagine for just 3 weeks only, they were MC for 3 days?!!

1st weekend, they had cough, fever n running nose. On 2nd week Friday, they came home with cough & running nose again. Luckily they recovered over the weekend. Then 3rd week Thursday, Abella had diarrhoea & both still coughing... -_-

I know this is inevitable and hopfully they can overcome those virus very soon. If not mummy's A-leave will gone very soon... I believe both of you want mummy to bring you for holiday this year right? So you must practice good hygiene and take good care of yourself hor ;)

Feedback from the teacher...
Both of them enjoy school very well. Participate in all the activities. They are a pair of joyous kids.

Abella
Very independant. Take instructions. Social skill yet to be developed. Attached to selective teachers, in fact one only -_-

Clarabelle
Good social skill. Very fun child but likes to depend on teacher assistant.

Yesterday went to fetch the girls. Spotted Abella's craft pinned up... haha! Abella's happy face. Asked where's Clarabelle's craft? Teacher say not done yet. Hm... distracting girls, no focusing, that explain why she cant finish her craft -_-

Then I was looking for a child called Lucus, who had sunk all his insicors & canines into my Abella's wrist few days ago. Luckily he went off earlier, if not... hiak hiak hiak...

No lah, just curious to meet the boy :p Abella was no really frightful, infact very brave to articulate the whole incident to me...

Abe : "Lucus snatch my toy... Lucus cry... and bite me... then Abella cry... 张老师 carry me... Lucus naughty... ... ..."

and then repeat again to her ah ma... and again to ah yi...and daddy...and ah gong....

Complaint queen... -_-

Star

Last evening Abella had an little achievement awaiting for me. She had a well-behave sticker STAR on her collar!
" Who give you the star?" I asked her.
"teacher... " proud but shy, pulling her collar showing me her star.

Most probably she did not cry that day so the teacher gave her a star as an encouragement. Indeed their daddy told me that morning when she reach school, she waved bye to him then ran to the playground. Their teacher 张老师 say Abella is a very sensible child. Clarabelle also but she wants to 撒娇...

New Year, New Environment, New Start

A very Happy NEW YEAR to ALL !!!

Finally is friday, 3rd day of school for the girls... yes, I'm still survive. Though life is very hectic but I'm kind of, happy. Weird? I'm puzzle too... :p

The girls are doing fine in the school. They do cry when time we have to part and this morning they even beg me to accompany them. I'll most willing to but I reminded them that we had agreed, when daddy & mommy go to work, they'll go to school. Daddy & mommy cannot acompany them but when we finish our work, we'll come and fetch them. They accepted what we had agreed though still crying when waved bye to me.

I'm so proud of them... better leave the school before mommy starts crying too...*sob sob*

At lunch time, I dash to the school to take a peep at them. They are well behave. Sitting beside a teacher, eating something, most probably fruit after meal. Another hand mingle with a toy...

*sob sob* mommy feel like to crying... they are so brave... managing themself thought everthing are so dauting... better leave before they spot me...

but smart too huh?? cry only when mommy is around. Can save their breathe when mommy is not around.

The principal grade them normal behaviour chilldren. Not those difficuilt to handle one.

So what had they learnt in the school?
1st day: Ban Ban Ban! Pretending the hand is gunhand, were playing with Ah gong after dinner -_-

2nd day : revolving herself on the spot till felt giddy, lost balance and fall onto mommy -_-

3rd day : I wonder what they have acquire today... -_-

Tonight better let them sleep early. The pass few days were really very hectic for them. Already dose off in the car when daddy fetch me after picking them up.

Girls, sleep well tonight as tommorrow is saturday! Daddy & Mommy not working, can accompany you whole day and we'll gonna have lots of fun! Yeah!!
